Funding Update – Longfurlong Greenfields Association

Dear Members,

I would like to extend a big thank you to members who have donated to Longfurlong Greenfields Association. It has been a magnificent effort and to date we have raised £3,193.  

Over the last few weeks the committee has been very busy developing our planning application to establish Longfurlong Meadows Community Nature Area.  We have managed to get ahead of Miller Homes, by setting out a positive vision for the future use and management of the meadowland, that will benefit wildlife and people.

We have also carried out further land searches.

To date, expenditure has included planning fees, website hosting fees and land registry fees. Our bank balance is now £2,200. Over the next few months we will be fighting the Miller Homes application, and there will be further expenses and fees that will need covering. If you haven’t already donated, please consider doing so to help support our important work.

We are still working towards an initial fundraising target of £5,000.
